IMHO, Rural Carrier is the best gig in the PO. Just takes a while to become regular. I was always under the impression that RCAs were the TEs of the rural side.. no guarantee of hours, no benefits. Is this incorrect? Close, yeah. RCA’s kinda equal TE’s. Cept, when a route opens up, the senior RCA gets to bid on it, a chance to become regular.

Can a post office employee be fired for no reason?
Post masters should not fire a CCA for any reason accept for cause. However, the EEO is an option. The post office should implement hiring employees within 50 miles from their home.
