This policy is in compliance with the federal Drug Free Schools and Communities Act and the Drug Free Workplace Act. The purpose of this policy is to clarify and inform students of UL Lafayette’s stand on alcohol/ drug related issues and the procedure when policy is violated.
When is the Nu Psi alcohol awareness program?
The Nu Psi Chapter will host and attend, with 90 – 100% of the members in attendance, a mandatory alcohol awareness program presented by the LSU Health Center Staff. Why is it important to reduce alcohol consumption on college campuses?
They are designed to change the campus and community environments where student drinking occurs. Often, a major goal is to reduce the availability of alcohol, because research shows that reducing alcohol availability cuts consumption and harmful consequences on campuses as well as in the general population.
